Built on Real Understanding

We started talivonquix because we noticed something. Businesses weren't getting practical advice about their finances—just complicated reports that nobody could actually use. So we built something different.

What Actually Happened

Back in 2018, a small manufacturing business in Western Sydney asked us to look at their books. They'd been told by three different consultants that they needed "better cash flow management." Nobody explained what that meant or how to do it.

We spent two weeks mapping out where their money went. Turned out, they had invoices sitting unpaid for 90 days while paying suppliers within 15. Simple timing issue—but it was strangling them.

That's when we realized most financial advice skips the basics. People talk about growth strategies and investment portfolios, but skip over whether you can actually pay your bills next month. We decided to focus there first.

Now we work with businesses across New South Wales and Queensland. Manufacturing, retail, services—doesn't really matter. The questions are usually the same: Can we afford this? What happens if sales drop? Should we take that loan?

How We Look at Things

We're not reinventing finance. Just approaching it in a way that makes sense for people running actual businesses.

Start With Reality

We look at your current position first. Not where you want to be or where you should be—where you are right now. Then we figure out what's workable from there. Sometimes that means scaling back plans. Sometimes it means you're in better shape than you thought.

Test the Scenarios

Revenue drops 20% next quarter—what happens? Major client delays payment? New equipment breaks down? We run through these situations because they're not hypothetical. They happen. Better to know your options before you're scrambling.

Keep It Usable

You shouldn't need a finance degree to understand your own numbers. We explain things in plain terms and show you how to spot problems early. Some clients check in monthly. Others prefer quarterly reviews. Whatever keeps you informed without drowning in spreadsheets.

Who's Actually Doing This

Small team. Everyone's worked in different industries before finance—which helps when you're trying to understand what a client actually needs.

What We Care About

  • Being straight with people. If the numbers don't support a decision, we say so. Even when it's disappointing.
  • Making information accessible. You're running a business—you don't have time to decode jargon.
  • Practical solutions over perfect ones. Sometimes the textbook answer doesn't fit reality.
  • Long-term thinking. Quick fixes usually create bigger problems down the line.
  • Respect for your experience. You know your business better than we do. We just help with the financial piece.
